Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Willoughby, a specialist Academy, for pupils aged 2 to 19 years with a diverse range of highly complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND). We are situated in Bourne, South Lincolnshire and are lucky to be within easy access of our local community, with whom we are proud to have many links.

On behalf of the pupils, staff and governors, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our school website.

Our school vision is to inspire each child to achieve excellence in their learning and personal development in a happy and safe environment. We offer a balanced mastery curriculum with a focus on developing communication, independence, skills for living and skills for life. In this way we ensure each child can excel, reach their full potential and are well-equipped and prepared for the next stage of their education and adulthood.

Teaching and learning at the school is supported by our talented, professional, dedicated staff and fantastic facilities which include; a sensory room, library, food and nutrition room, sensory integration suite, hot spa, art room, 4D suite, independent living room and onsite Forest School.

We are a warm and welcoming school with 145 pupils currently on roll. We are incredibly proud of all of our pupils and the warm welcome that everyone receives in to the 'Willoughby Family'.

I hope you find everything you need to know about our school on the website. If you would like to visit or have any questions please do contact us.  You can also keep up to date with Willoughby's latest  news by following us on instagram
